Cronin Precision Engineering Ltd.,(CPEL) have specialised in the manufacturing of precision engineered parts since 1979. Based in Derinacahara, Dunmanway in Co Cork, the modern engineering building shares a three acre site with sister company Cronin Commercial & Repair. Both companies are run as a family business by brothers Mike, Denis, Jim and Pat Cronin which means a strong personal touch is evident. Pat Cronin is in charge of the engineering side of the business.
A substantial amount of engineering work is provided by Cronin Precision Engineering to the farming community. Engineering services such as repairing hydraulic rams, splined shafts, excavator rams, crushers and repair of rollers are also provided to the timber industry, plant hire and local quarries.
Cronin Precision Engineering are particularly experienced in the unique requirements of the Marine Industry, regularly repairing or servicing trawler propeller shafts, rudder shafts, stern tubes and related equipment. From our base in Dunmanway County Cork, we provide fast and cost effective support to the fishing fleet based out of Castletownbere and other south west Irish ports.
The company is one of the top CNC machining shops in the south of Ireland, both in terms of capacity and capability. Having some of the most modern equipment, CPEL can process multiple projects at the same time and manufacture small to medium size parts up to 600 mm in length (for milling purposes). CPEL’s modern equipment and precision machining operations have the capability to work with tolerances of +/-0.005 mm. CPEL uses the latest lathes and mills, which are regularly serviced and calibrated to ensure optimum performance, accuracy and precision. We also invest in the latest Cad/Cam Software which further enables us to provide a complete package to our customers.
Being a family run business, Cronin Precision Engineering prides itself on the personal approach to all customers which in turn has led to the establishment of many long term relationships.
